AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE

North West Aviation Pty Ltd is purely an aircraft maintenance company. That's what we do and we aim to do it to a very high standard. We like to treat every aircraft as if it was our own and each customer whether their maintenance requirements is large or small as individuals who are important. You are dealing with a small family owned company who rely on their loyal customers to stay in business. You and your aircraft matter.

Our team at North West Aviation Pty Ltd maintain a large range of Cessna, Piper and Beechcraft aeroplanes. Other aircraft we maintain include DHC-2 Beavers, FU-24 Fletchers, Aviat A1 Husky, Pitts S2A, Garrett powered AT-301 Air Tractor and AT6 Harvard. Staff has coverage in airframe, engine, instrument, electrical and radio categories. We can therefore carry out maintenance to the simplest single engine aircraft through to twin-engine IFR aircraft.

We not only have the expertise and licence coverage to carry out maintenance to your aircraft but also the required tooling. The company also has a range of special tooling. One example of this is the tooling required to carry out wing bolt and nut replacement on Beechcraft aircraft.

The team at North West Aviation Pty Ltd has a wealth of experience when it comes to carrying out special and more complex maintenance needs like rebuilds, major repairs and modifications, engine and tail wheel conversions.

We have rebuilt one Beaver aircraft, which is now on floats in Fiji, and are presently rebuilding another. We have also carried out engine upgrades to approved STC's. If you have a special maintenance need which we haven't listed please ring and talk to us about it.

Engine Conversions
North West Aviation Pty Ltd is experienced in carrying out engine conversions IAW approved STC's. Conversions have been carried out to Cessna 150 and PA18 Super Cub aircraft. The Cessna 150 engine conversion involved removal of the 100hp Continental 0-200-A engine and installation of 150hp Lycoming 0-320 engine. The PA-18 Super Cub engine conversion involved removal of the 150hp Lycoming 0-320 engine and the installation of a 180hp 0-360 Lycoming engine.

Hose and Control Cable Manufacture
North West Aviation Pty Ltd has manufactured flight control cables for many years. This has especially benefited owners of agricultural, charter and flying school aircraft whose downtime is kept to a minimum when a cable replacement is required. The company also manufactures and distributes cables to other maintenance organisations in NSW, ACT and QLD.

North West Aviation Pty Ltd also has approval to manufacture airframe and engine flexible hose assemblies.
